When you 1st receive

Clean it

Please clean it before testing it on your body. Clean with mild soap and water after removing it from the packaging.

Fully charge it before use

Read the product's manual to check how long it needs to be fully charged.

Read through the manual or instruction

I know we normally skip this but scan through once. Just to make sure if there is any special note by your sex toys provider to better protect and take care of your toys.

Cleaning

Clean with mild unscented antibacterial soap that you will use on your body. Rinse with warm water. Do not let water get into the motor part of your motorized toys Wipe it dry with a clean towel.

Clean your sex toy before and after every single use to prevent bacteria. Do not leave them unclean overnight, clean them when you go to pee after sex (masturbation included)

Motorized toys

Wash gently with unscented antibacterial soap you use on your body
Some toys provider offer sex toys cleaners specially made for their toys
Rinse under running water, do not let water get into the motor part!
Wipe it dry with a towel or let it air dry on a towel under fan/air conditioner

Non-motorized toys

Sterilize for a deeper clean
materials such as silicone, pyrex, stainless steel, stone
place in boiling water for 8-10 minutes
run it through the dishwasher without soap (for non-Asian households, because the children of the Asian house are the dishwasher)

Sex toy cleaners

Some toys provider offer sex toys cleaners specially made for their toys. Buy packaged sex toy cleaners, some are specially made for sensitive skin. They look and feels like lube in a bottle that cleans toys. Do not use as lube.

Apply cleaners on toys, let sit for seconds or minutes according to instruction, rinse off with water.

Opt for water-based cleaners. Oil-based and silicone-based cleaners can break down your toys

Storage

Dry it completely with a clean towel before storage. Keep it in a waterproof and washable bag. It is recommended to use a sealable bag with a zipper, velcro or top. Keep the bag in a nightstand, bathroom cabinet or underwater drawer or anywhere that makes you feel sexy. Avoid areas that will be in contact with oil, powder, perfume, in another words, do not put near make-up items.

For sharing

Use a condom on toys for safety and hygiene purposes. Swap out a new condom for each new partner. Change a new condom when using the toy on vulva/vaginal insertion to anal.

Make sure your partners' toys are clean before sharing. My partners share their toys with me before but personally, sharing my toys is a hard limit for me. You can have your boundaries on toys. I do use toys during sex with partners. For example. my toys on me, they use the remote or so but not using my toys on/in them.

No to Porous toys

It is not recommended to buy porous toys, which are harmful to your body. Porous materials have small holes as their nature, sexual fluids and lubricants penetrate the materials of the toys. Bacteria grows on the toys and can cause irritation.

Porous sex toy materials includes jelly, PVC, rubber and latex, TPR/TPE, Cyberskin/real-feel. Use a condom on it for safety purposes and easy cleaning when using porous material toys.

Avoid

Don't submerge non-waterproof toys, it will result in the quick death of your toys.
Skip the scented soap. They leave residue on toys and can cause irritation.
Do not leave your toys unclean overnight.
Keep away from areas with oil, powder and perfume.
Do not put your silicone toys together, they will stick together
Do not use oil-based and silicone-based lube on silicone toys.
Do not leave them in a humid hot environment, store them in a cool place.
Do not leave your battery in the toys for an extended long period of time (i broke some because of the battery leakage).
Do not bend your toys to an extreme (they can break, sorry my toys).

Unrelated note

Do not accidentally leave them insight.

For me, on my bed under my blankets, because I forgot to keep them for that one time. My parents love to snoop around and dig my stuff. Privacy is non-existent in many houses in Asian families, I feel yall.

They found one of my bags full of toys (my fav vibe is in that bag too) and condoms. They almost throw the bag away and I was almost disowned so take care while having fun :')
