I love my toys, every one of them. Each time one broke down, my heart breaks with them. They are all my favourite colours too. I genuinely hope my favourite go-to most amazing toy won't break one day :'(

One broke during cleaning
Do not submerge toys in water if they are not waterproof! It can result in the quick death of your toys :(
They are waterproof and I did not submerge them. But I made a silly mistake.
I broke 2 of my toys from this same mistake.
When cleaning toys with water, make sure liquid can not go in. I didn't close the compartment to the motors/battery/charging port securely when I am cleaning my toy. It was a big mistake accidentally let liquid leak into the toys. It is a quick death of the toy :(
One broke in public :(
Cum and squirt are liquid too. Waterproof vibrators have rubber rings to prevent liquid from getting into the toy. But liquid can still go in if it is not tightly closed.
It died when I was using it in public, the egg vibe stopped halfway. I thought the battery ran out or my partner turned off the remote. The truth is liquid went into the toy and
my egg vibe broke down (forever) in the middle of the fun.
Any excessive liquid leaks into the toys are dangerous especially when it is in your body, short-circuit can happen and you might get zapped.
One broke while storing
TL;DR : battery leakage
Do not leave your battery in the toys for a long extended period of time if you are not using the toy.
When I notice the battery leakage, I remove the battery and clean it up, but it was too late.
If you notice battery leakage, remove the battery immediately. Make sure to avoid contact with the discharge at all times. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water afterwards. In case of eye contact, seek medical attention immediately.
TIPS: When inserting multiple batteries into a device, always use the same brand, the same type and the same energy level to prevent battery leakage. Mixing batteries will cause an imbalance: the ‘stronger’ battery will overcompensate and discharge too quickly putting it at a greater risk of leakage.
I fall asleep
I know it sounds ridiculous that I broke my toys because I fall asleep. Well, I did not exactly break my toys but it cause irritation and infection.
Clean your toys right after every single use to prevent irritation. Wash gently with mild unscented soap, rinse under water, tap them dry with a towel.
There is countless time my partners find me sleeping with my toys still in my body. Sometimes I took it out and left it on a nightstand until the next morning forgot to clean it right after.
Make it a habit to wash your toys when you go to pee right after sex (including masturbation).
Do note, they are toys to your delicate genitals.
Leather needs extra care
I have a few toys made of leather (fake leather coz I am broke). I used to hang my flogger in my closet when I was staying at the hostel during my college days. When I move back home I had to stuff it into a bag to avoid others find out about it.
Here is how to take care of leather toys
Do not fold leather to store.
Wipe leather with mild soap and water or leather cleaner.
If it encounters bodily fluids, wipe with 70% isopropyl alcohol to disinfect.
Some are made of bad materials
Did you know jelly rubber is harmful to your body? Because I only knew this much later.
I have so sooooo many things to complain about jelly rubber URGHHHH
It is hard to clean.
I had a few anal toys made of jelly rubber. I am sorry to make you imagine it but hell it is hard to clean. Harmful to the body and not very hygienic in this context.
It breaks easily
Anal beads made of jelly rubber break easily. It is extremely dangerous if you are inserting it into your anal and they can get lost in it.
They stick together
Do not put them together as they will stick together. (I still do but you shouldn't) I put my toys into a few bags (coz one can't fit all) and jelly rubber toys are the only toys that will stick together.
Invest in good toys !
Jelly rubber toys are generally cheaper but please invest in high-quality toys.
